Breeding requires it's own section mostly due to the difficulties in achieving autumn and winter milk production. I'd like to include here, information on out of season breeding - your successes and failures. Is it worth it?

Information about my own herd is a summary of hormone treatments I have used since 1995 in an attempt to increase my winter milk production.

Kid Rearing is information about how I rear my kids.

To fill in a gap in the meantime, here's a photo taken 25th April 1998. This goat kidded for the first time the next day. I have no idea why her udder is already uneven and now in 2004 it is still the same. On her 2nd lactation she gave 1368 litres in 300 days (despite major abdominal surgery 2 months after kidding) with a peak 24 hour production of 7.2litres, before the surgery.
